I use Windows 7 and Apple mobile devices. Most of my experience is with choice games--for example, like Alabaster, The Book of Guenevere, Affairs of the Court, visual novels like Oxenfree and Cinders, dating sims like Long Live the Queen and Magical Diary , and paper books where you turn to a page for every choice--but I’d be delighted with a parser game too. Puzzles, mazes, and timers aren’t a strength of mine, so I would enjoy a walkthrough if those are present.

Black Magician Universe - Trudi Canavan

Sonea (Black Magician Universe)

Ship opt-ins: If you want any of Sonea's canon ships to be part of the work, I'd be good with it!

Gifts are enabled!

This is a series of seven books with several hundred pages each. Only the two trilogies include the character in this request, although you can use material from the prequel for worldbuilding if you like. For this canon, you can read the first trilogy or both it and the sequel trilogy; I'd be happy with works based on either time period!

I'd love to know how she went about setting up the hospice at the end of the first trilogy: with Dorrien helping her, and with other healers coming forward--was she surprised?--and the reception she got from her prospective patients. I'd also love anything with her in between trilogies, whether handling a particularly difficult part of patient care, or Guild politics, or raising Lorkin, or something post-The Traitor Queen, after she's started to realize she can be less restricted than she thinks, and navigating having a romantic relationship for the first time since she was a teenager. Or an AU in which she doesn't lose Akkarin; what would their new lives look like? How would the Guild react to her if they had two black magicians available rather than one? I'd also be happy with a look at their domestic life. Or both the politics and the domestic! For more AUs: what if things don't line up so unfortunately the night they were caught after killing the Ichani, or Sonea's family never got kicked out of the House they were servants in, or higher magic was never banned? (Maybe it was just partially banned/more restricted?) What would she be like, and what would she do?

Feel free to include any character you like for the story.

(Note: My DNW of unrequited love does not apply to including Cery's unrequited love for Sonea, or Dorrien's initially-requited interest and later one-sided love for her. Don't worry about having to dodge these things if they come up in the story!)

The Spellsong Cycle - L. E. Modesitt Jr.

Secca (The Spellsong Cycle)
Anna Marshall (The Spellsong Cycle)
Worldbuilding (The Spellsong Cycle)

Ship opt-ins: If you include a ship, I'd be good with Anna/Jecks and Secca/Alcaren! (To clear up any possible confusion, I forgot I hadn't listed Secca/Alcaren in the signup; either way, it's an optional detail!)

Gifts are enabled!

This is a series of five books with several hundred pages each. For this canon, you can read the first trilogy or both it and the sequel trilogy; I'd be happy with works based on either time period! The first book can also stand alone, so it applies there too.

There is so much that goes on between books! I love reading about the politicking and infrastructure building which goes on in them; please tell me about some occasion when Anna or Secca (or both) had to visit somewhere, whether an aristocrat's hold or a town, whether to shore something up politically or to build something--or both, since magical building could be construed in different ways by people according to the situation. Or tell me about when Anna handed over rulership to Jimbob/Robero and headed to Loiseau, or Secca's arrival in Loiseau, or time they spent together there. I love what we see of them together in both of the time periods covered, and would love to read about an evening of conversation or a lesson. Or more about the shadow sorcery all the sorceresses practiced in the in-between years. Parallels and contrasts in how Anna and Secca see the world/rule their lands; they came from such different backgrounds, yet Anna was the primary influence on Secca.

The little bits we learn about the world are so interesting! I enjoy the different povs we get, and also the dropping of historical facts. I'd love to read about the Pelaran Devastation, or more about the Spellfire Wars, and their role in the formation of Ranuak and its matriarchy. Speaking of, what about the secret magics of the Matriarchs of Ranuak? And the perception of dancing, which inspires a range of negative responses from present day characters (and is associated with Darksong) but seems to have been more accepted in the past? (What with the old ballroom Anna discovers in The Spellsong War.) How about exploration of an old book on magic? Or, what do Liedwahr and Erde look like after the books, with Secca ruling Defalk and Sturinn so diminished? What is known and thought about Anna and/or Secca a few centuries down the line?

Feel free to include any character you like for the story.

NOS4A2 (TV 2019)

Vic McQueen (NOS4A2 TV)

Ship opt-ins: If you include a ship, I'd be good with Vic/Maggie or Vic/either of her canon lovers!

Gifts are enabled!

This is a TV series of two seasons, with each episode a little under an hour long. For this canon, you can watch the first season or both seasons; I'd be happy with works based on either time period!

I loved the first season finale; what about an AU in which Vic and Maggie live together trying to find Christmasland, with or without the pregnancy/Wayne? Lou can be there too! I also loved the end of the series, with Vic still trying to come to terms with what happened and starting to find a way to help her son do the same. Where do things go for her, Wayne, and Lou? And with Linda? How do they start to rebuild from who they are now? The balancing of magic with Vic and Maggie is also something I enjoy; they started the first season with Maggie having embraced that side of herself while Vic was just starting to become aware of it, began the second with Vic stuck in how the magic had destroyed her life while Maggie found domestic bliss, and ended up going full circle: having experienced both sides of life, Maggie chose the magic and Vic rejected it for the domestic. Is there a balance in between, where Vic can embrace her magic without hurting herself--or at least being able to manage the cost, the way Maggie is now doing? Maybe she helps Maggie on an adventure down the road? There's also that cliffhanger with Millie, who does seem to have an attachment to Wayne. I thought it was interesting how Millie seemed to have a mix of fear and need with Vic, and that Cassie was trying to use Vic's disruption of Christmasland to get her daughter out. Then there's the whole tension between Vic having wanted to free the children and her getting tormented by their phone calls for years. How does all that shake out after the series finale?

Feel free to include any character you like for the story.

Again, thank you so much for your interest, and I look forward to whatever you create! May your Yuletide be great!
